The city’s other middle school, Memorial Middle School, is now Recovery High School, an alternative school to help high school students who are overcoming addiction to drugs or alcohol.
The Northshore Academy at McKeown School is an alternative school, in the former McKeown Elementary School building, in a partnership between Beverly Public Schools and the Northshore Education Consortium (NEC).
Beverly MA is home to several private schools, including St. Mary School, Harborlight Montessori School, Kindercare Learning Center, Beverly School for the Deaf, St. John the Evangelist School, the Bright Horizons School, the Waring School, Glen Urquhart School, Stoneridge Montessori School, and Shore Country Day, which is known for being a top private school for upper class children K-8 and several others.
